Unexpected Blessing
After spending my whole adult life working, I found myself unexpectedly blessed to become a first‑time mom at the age of 40.
For years, doctors told me it likely wouldn’t happen, so when it did, my joy was overwhelming — but so was the uncertainty. I had no idea what this new chapter would look like. How was I supposed to be everything this tiny miracle needed while still holding on to who I was?
Now, I’m a stay‑at‑home mom learning to define and embrace this season of life.
I’m a mom — but I’m also an artist, a writer, and a dreamer. I love cooking and baking with big band radio playing in the background. I enjoy projects around the house, getting lost in a good book, and riding horses. I’m just as happy going on adventures with family and friends as I am curled up on the couch watching a movie. And of course, I never turn down a good cup of coffee. The simple things in life have always been the most precious to me.
